Vastura Ltd ("Vastura," "we," "us") operates this storefront. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if provided), and the contents of any message you send us.
- Order and payment information: what you ordered and a tokenized payment reference. We do not see or store your full card number — that is handled directly by our payment processors.
- Automatic information: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, collected through cookies and similar technologies to keep the store working and to understand usage.
Why we collect it
We use your information to process and ship your orders, provide customer support, prevent fraud, meet our legal obligations, and — only if you opt in — to send you marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any such email, consistent with Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL).
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Who we share data with
We share only the information each provider needs to do its job:
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) — to process payments securely.
- Suppliers and shipping carriers — your name and shipping address, so your order can be fulfilled and delivered.
- Infrastructure and email providers (e.g. Cloudflare for hosting; our transactional email provider) — to run the store and send order confirmations.
- Analytics — aggregated, de-identified usage data only.
We may also disclose information where required by Canadian law or a valid legal request.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep your cart and session working, and optional analytics cookies to understand how the store is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data retention
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to marketing. To make a request, email privacy@vastura.ca (please put "Privacy request" in the subject line). We will acknowledge within 5 business days and respond substantively within 30 days.
